Composite fonts for English Illustrator

I’ve been using Composite Fonts in the English version of Illustrator for a long time, but suddenly I can’t use them anymore. I contacted support and they keep saying, “Composite Fonts are only available in the Japanese version of Illustrator.” Is that actually true? Then how was I able to use them before?

If there is no Composite Font menu...

Click "Show East Asian Options" in Preferences

This will display Japanese Language options in the menu.

I can use Composite Fonts without any problems in Illustrator 2025_29.6.1.9.

Are they possibly Type1 fonts? Which Illustrator version stopped working?

I'm currently checking this with the Illustrator product team to get clarity on the availability of Composite Fonts in the English version. I'll share an update with you as soon as I hear back from them.
