concept to vector dosent make single editable lines

Question

ive tried to get a sketch or reference image to convert to single vector lines that i can edit the size of using concept to vector AI but it dosent work it just dose it like a usual image trace i need it as individual editable lines. ive told the prompt very sternly i just want single editable lines but it never works ive selected the line art icon too

One of the fundamental limitations with Illustrator's Concept to Vector filter (or other AI-based tools in rival vector graphics applications) is that the app has to work with generated results that start out as pixel-based images. Then the filter tries to turn that image into vector-based art as best at it can. Those results often fall short of clean, production-ready vector art that was created by human hands.
