Constant Crashing

Hi ASC

 

The latest version just constantly keeps craashing after 5 minutes of use.  I am simply using the pen tool to trace an embeded image!

 

I sent a ERROR report and the sollution came back - to have the latest illustrator updated!  So I'm back to square one ... please help.

 

My confusion is that i use the same laptop for 3D architectural drawings which runs without any glitches.  So I have the power!

We understand how frustrating it can be to experience crashes. If you're using a Wacom Tablet, we recommend trying an older version of the driver (6.3.46-2) to see if it resolves the issue. Hello Anubhav

 

Thanking you for your reply.  It is good that you mentioned the Wacom tablet.  When it was crashing I was using the Wacom.  Since then I have been struggling with just the mouse to use illustrator and have had no problems since.

 

It is unfortunate that the Wacom interferes.  i may even try hooking the tablet up to laptop in lieu of using the bluetooth function of the Wacom.

 

But in all, thank you for the driver suggestion.  I will let you know how this goes.

Which system are you using?

Please tell us the hardware specifications.

Do you use a gaming driver for your graphic card? Try and install the studio driver

Hello Monika

 

Yes I am all up to date using the very latestest version of Illustrator.  Version 27.3.1

 

My device, as you can see , is extremely capable so I can only put it down to the programe.  Its an OMEN by HP

Processor:11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz 2.30 GHz

System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Graphics: NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3070

Which driver is it for thew graphics card? Illustrator has some issues with gaming drivers.
