Constant "not responding" message

I am having issues when carrying out most actions within illustrator. This results in the "not responding" message & the software crashing every 15 or so seconds. It could be something as simple as changing tools or moving a shape. Does anyone know why this is consistently happening? Thanks

We understand how frustrating it can be to experience crashes. If you're using a Wacom Tablet, we recommend installing the latest version of the driver (https://www.wacom.com/en-us/support/product-support/drivers) and checking if it helps. Also, if you are using a Windows computer and have Antivirus software enabled, kindly try adding the Adobe applications to the exclusion list or disabling the Antivirus software temporarily to check if it helps.
