Control, Tool Bars and Tools are gone every time I restart Illustrator

Question

Everytime I restart Illustrator on my desktop and on my laptop the Control, Tool Bars and all my tools on the right side of the screen are gone. I try to click on one my saved workspaces and nothing happens. Yes, I have tried to press the tab key, but it does nothing. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

Sorry to hear about your experience. Before resetting the preferences, as suggested by @marliton, you may take a backup of your workspaces. Locations of the workspaces are as follows:

macOS:

~/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator <version> Settings/en_GB/Workspaces
~/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator <version> Settings/en_GB/Modified Workspaces

Windows 10:

C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator <version> Settings\en_US\x64\Workspaces
C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator <version> Settings\en_US\x64\Modified Workspaces

After taking the backup of workspaces, reset the preferences, and copy & paste your backup workspaces to the exact location.
