In addition to our expert's suggestion, could you please share the details of your operating system and the version of Illustrator currently installed on your machine?

Additionally, may I ask:

• Does this issue occur with all files or only a specific one?

• Are you trying to copy and paste within Illustrator (for example, from one file to another or between pages/artboards)?

I haven’t come across this (I’m on a Mac); however, in a reddit thread, a couple of people said the following worked for them:

1. “Edit > Preferences > Clipboard Handling > Unclick "Include SVG Code" On Copy”

2. “I attempted to change my shortcut keys in my own personalized settings and no luck.

   I then changed it to default, continued... and then changed it back to my personal and it is now working”
