Copy and Paste is not working in Mac OS CC Illustrator

Trying to copy and and paste objects within Illustrator, as well as from InDesign to Illustrator. I've updated all of CC and my computer as well with no success. Please help.

    What happens when you try? Is Copy and/or Paste grayed out in the Edit menu?

    Yes the Edit menu options for copy and paste are grayed out and I have tried using the shortcut keys without any success as well. Nothing happens at all when I try anything.

    Please describe step by step what exactly you are trying to copy from which app exactly to where exactly. What exactly is selected, which tools exactly are you using.

    Is there any clipboard extension installed in your system?

    What else is running on your system? Something like TeamViewer? Banking software?
