Copy / Paste Remembers Layers problems

Hi to everyone!

I have a problem with copy/paste Remembers Layers (especially from one document to another). I turned on the setting for pasting objects into the original levels, but it's not working, at least not the first time: I have to select again the graphics I have to copy, paste it and then (if I am lucky!) it will work the second or third time, and I don't understand why.

What bothers me even more (and this happened especially when i am in remote working through Anydesk) when I'm copy/pasting the color information is not retained, i.e. if I copy a black only object in CMYK it will be pasted into another level and not in the original one, therefore making it a 4-color black.

Is this happened to someone?

Thank you in advance!

Copy 100% black and pasting a CMYK mix will only happen when you Copy from an RGB document and Paste into a CMYK document.

This is not true. CMYK documents both

Then maybe the Anydesk app is messing with the clipboard.

Hello @davide_8019,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind sharing more details, like the OS/Illustrator version and if Illustrator behaves this way when working locally after rebooting your computer in Safe Mode (Windows / macOS) so I can better assist you?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello Anubhav,

Thanks for your kind replay…
I work on macOS Sequoia (15.0.1) and with the last updated Illustrator 29.0.1.
I’ve never reboot the computer in Safe Mode. I’m working normally but, I’ve always these kind of problems.
If this can help, with the previous version of illustrator and MacOS, I had the same problems (actually I’ve never thought to write in the forum ;-)).

Thank you.
