I want to have a paper list of all key board short cuts and tools short cuts. so I can learn them away from my computer.

Checkout https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/default-keyboard-shortcuts.html. Aside from having all of the shortcuts listed there you’ll find a download available for a number of the shortcuts. To make a paper copy you can either print out directly from the webpage or make screenshots and print those.

If you go to the Edit menu and choose Keybord Shortcuts, you will see an Export Text... button that creates a text file you can print.

You can go to Edit > Keyboard SHortcuts and from there export them all as a text file and then print that.

Learning all of them will not help you. You need to know only the ones you are using. There’s no point in learning the others. So what you can do:

WHenever you need to use a function and don’t know the shortcut: look it up in the menu.

But then do not apply the function with the menu. But let it go and use the shortcut you have just looked up.

This procedure is so complicated that you have an incentive to actually learn the shortcut.

I think learning keyboard shortcuts as they’re needed in active use is the best way to remember them. The most commonly used keyboard shortcuts will get learned first. Chances are those keyboard shortcuts will be ones that are common across Illustrator and Photoshop, such as zooming/hand-panning the view and shortcuts involving the Pen Tool. The more obscure keyboard shortcuts can be learned as needed.
