CPU vs GPU issue with Simulate Color Paper Issue
For some reason, Illustrator runs better (less lag) on my PC when I use CPU preview instead of GPU. It is mainly only noticeable on very large files though. Can anyone explain why this is happening when my GPU is good quality and shouldn't have issues (as far as I'm aware)? Illustrator recognizes the GPU under preferences & GPU Performance is checked.
The other issue is that when I preview on CPU and "Simulate Color Paper" is checked, it changes the colors and they don't display correctly. It's as if the background color is overlaying the image to change it's color. White artboards don't seem to cause issues. Is there a fix for this or is Adobe working on one?
My stats are:
Windows 11
GPU: NVIDIA Quadro P2200
CPU: Intel 11th Gen i9-11900K @ 3.50 GHz, 3504 MHz, 8 Core
32GB Ram DDR3
Latest version of Illustrator 2022
