Crazy jittering of filled objects -- why?

I'm running the latest version of Illustrator on my 2017 13" MBP. Any clue what might be causing these striations and triangulations of mostly white but also unwanted transparency? I've never experienced this before, not with previous versions of Illustrator nor on my MBP here.

Also, I'm importing geometry from Rhino (exporting curves from Rhino as an *.ai which is something I've done forever without any issue).

Thanks for your thoughts.

Thank you! I didn't realize it was set to a GPU rendering setting by default -- since the MBP's have integrated graphics, no wonder this doesn't work well. Thanks! CPU is the way to go here.
