Hi everyone,

I am trying to replicate the attached image which is a serried of 20 oval shaped dotted lines that follow and abstract spiral wave to replicate how hair would look curling around a curling wand.

The spacing between each width varies as it turns at the front face from 4cm at the bottom, 5.5cm in the middle and 5cm at the top swirl.

can anyone guide me on how I can exactly replicate this image?

Many thanks

You could create a maß for a 3D cyliner like shape. Or you could create the front wave and the back wave and then combine them maybe with the help of envelopes.

Like this: https://youtu.be/4W9dHWmArkE

Making the design

Making a symbol

Appling to classic 3D

Expand appearance.

So with a map like this:

Mapped to a shape like this, which gets revolved

Then hiding geometry

You can get this:

You will need to expand appearance and then clean out some overlapping circles etc.
