Hi,  could someone either point me to a tutorial or better yet if you know how to create curly cornered frames in Illustrator. Is there a plugin that you would recommend for this? I would rather not have to buy or download a vector frame. I am attaching some examples of what I would like. If I wanted to do something even more ornate than what I have attached would I first have to draw freehand and then bring it into Illustrator. Thanks.

Try drawing with the pencil tool instead of the pen tool. Set the fidelity to smooth. Then draw one corner and mirror it the way Monika recommended.

You could draw one quarter and then mirror it twice.

If you use effects for mirroring  then you could adjust the shape of your frame while already seeing the result.

Ok, thanks. I I was looking for another option. I will try using the Line tool and Effects>Zig Zag and see if that works before having to draw it using the Pen tool.
