Create white print data from RGB PNGs

Hi,

I want to prepare print data for a print on golden sticker foil. The problem is, that i have an RGB PNG with all the desired colors and transparency where I want to the gold foil to show. Then I have a second PNG with the same dimensions that is white on all positions where I wanted to have white printed underneath the colors and transparency else.

What I need to do is to color in the second one in cyan (obviouslye except for the transparent areas) and place it behind the first one for print.

Unfortunately I have no idea how to do that.

I hope someone can help me out.

Thanks in advance!

I suggest combining the images in Photoshop in a CMYK document with a Spot Color channel for the white. Better yet, trace the white with Illustrator’s pen tool.
