Creating fonts (was Asian font cannot be embedded because of license restrictions)

I have designed a font (true type font) in a small Asian language, but haven't published it so far.

I can save work in AI with this font due to "license restrictions". Should I first publish it?

Did you use Fontographer to design the font?

I remember problem with old versions of Fontographer tha did not set the embedding flag correctly.

Maybe you can open the font in a font editor and save it with the correct permissions.

To clarify, are you trying to embed the font that you designed into a PDF and Adobe Acrobat won't let you? Which application did you use to create the font?

I am wondering if this is the correct forum for this question or if it should be moved.

Yes correct.

THe application is AI=Adobe Illustrator. How can this font be available to others?

I designed the true type font several years ago, but did not publish it so far.
