creating shadows to undulating text

Question

I am trying to create a shadow effect on the accompanying text and photo. The text is fine but I can't get the shadow to line up correctly.

Kurt Gold · Answer

What kind of shadow are you going to create and exactly where should it be located? It may help to understand better if you could provide at least a rough sketch that shows what your request is about.
