CS5 Not Responding

I am trying to use Illustrator with Mimaki FineCut, which is something I have been doing at least every other week for the past year.

However, today when I load in my pdf file, and go to plot Illustrator gives me a Not Responding notification,and I have to force quit out of the program.

I have no idea what to do to try and correct this issue.

I know it's not the file, because my boss, and the guy before me has ran it several times before.

Any ideas on how to correct the issue are greatly appreciated!
