Hi, i have this weird problem in illustrator, everytime i try to use ctrl + ;  to hide or show guides, it doens't work in illustrator, which weird especially since i changed it once to ctrl +, to try and it worked but didn't work when i switched back to ctrl + ; , at first i thought maybe because i have an AZERTY keybaord but all the rest of the commands are working perfectly like ctrl + z ....

any idea on why it does this?

More-than-likely it is the azerty kb - I have a similar issue and it appears that it's assuming a US keyboard despite everything being set for UK.

Hello @Maki1412!

It seems like there might be a conflict or an issue with the specific key combination on your keyboard. Here are a few suggestions to troubleshoot the problem:

  • On-Screen Keyboard: Open the on-screen keyboard on your computer and check if pressing ctrl + ; registers correctly. This can help identify if there's a hardware or software-related issue.
  • Custom Shortcut: You can check and modify keyboard shortcuts by going to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts according to your keyboard layout.
  • System Language Settings: Ensure that your system language settings match your keyboard layout. Sometimes, discrepancies between the system language and the keyboard layout can cause issues.

If the issue persists, please provide more details about your operating system and Illustrator version so that I can offer more specific assistance.

Best,
