CTRL + WIN shortcut problem

Hey guys.

I got strange problem with Illustrator 29.7.1. Shortcut CTRL + WIN is duplicating Ctrl + [ shortcut sending selection backward. Is it normal behaviour? Can somone help me to stop Illustrator using CTRL + WIN shortcut.

I found that this issue occurs only when Ctrl is pressed first.

If Ctrl is already held down, Illustrator for Windows incorrectly interprets the Left Windows key (0x5B) as "[" (0xDB) and the Apps key (0x5D) as "]" (0xDD). 

The problem still exists in v30.3 (April 2026). I’ve submitted a detailed report on UserVoice.

I’m currently checking this further with the product team to confirm whether this is expected behavior or a bug. I’ll keep you posted as soon as I have an update.

    Is the shortcut assigned correctly in the Keyboard shortcuts?

     

    Shortcuts not working correctly can be caused by corrupted preferences as well as by interfering third party apps. You can try and launch Illustrator in Safe Mode as well as quit Illustrator and rename the preferences folder. Illustrator will then create a new one without erasing your original one. SO you can test it.

    Thanx, but I dont need custom shortcut. I just need Illustrator to stop using CTRL+WIN shortcut, and I can't find this shortcut in Keybord shortcuts manager you recomended.
