Cursor jumping/shaking Illustrator CC 2015

Need urgent help here.

My cursor keeps jumping/shaking when I hover over the artwork.

I've made a video of it: Jumping cursor

I've installed the latest update of Illustrator CC 2015. But it was the same on the 2014 version.
I'm on a Macbook Pro Retina 15'' and I'm using the Apple Magic mouse. (all drivers up to date)
No other devices/keyboards/etc plugged in.
It also appears when I'm using the Trackpad of the laptop and Bluetooth turned off.
I only have the driver of the wacom tablet installed but the tablet/wireless receiver is not plugged in.

It's very annoying and a fix would be cool.

Do you guys have any suggestions? Would be awesome!

Thanks, Daniel

Hi nzgecko,

Similar issue was reported and we found that it is due to an adware called Webcom. Please follow these steps to fix it:

1) Close all Adobe applications and confirm from task manager if all the applications and processes related to Adobe are closed.
2) Click notification area and check if there is any application like webcom, if yes please right click and exit.
3) Open programs and features from control panel and uninstall webcom adware from lavasoft.
4) Relaunch Illustrator and check.

Please feel free to revert if issue still persists.

Regards,

Om

Anybody found a solution yet? I used to be able to quit Illustrator and restart and it would stop but now after updating to the latest CC update it won't even stop when I do this. It's driving me mad!

I am having the same issue. I am using a Logitech Wireless mouse and a Wacomm tablet and it happens with both, so pretty sure it is independent of the device you are using.

Illustrator does appear to be the issue as when it is closed the problem goes away.

I am on El Cap 10.11.3

Photoshop CC: 2015.1.2

InDesign CC: 2015.3

Illustrator CC: 2015.2.1

We need a solution!

I too am pulling my hair out of my head. I just upgraded to a new Mac Pro with 64 GB of ram- 8 cores, El Capitan and CC2015.  (Also using a Magic Mouse.)

My old Mac Pro tower in Mavericks was a work horse until  the mother board fried last month.

This dancing mouse is making me nuts. I have followed the advice here and have high hopes.

Does anyone have this problem with other apps? It is hard for me to judge as I am new to this lightning fast machine, the OS and the CC 2015 suite. Some of my frustrations could be because this machine is 4 times faster than my tower, and I don't realize what El Capitan is doing differently.

Update your version of Illustrator. It seems that the latest release 2015.2.0 to Illustrator CC  fixed the jumpy cursor issue with Magic Mouse. We'll see if it reappears.

I've recently updated to the 2.0 Illustrator CC as well as Photoshop, and it wasn't an issue until now. It is making designing very difficult since it is so sensitive to movement. When moving just slightly, it manages to move much farther than anticipated and very frustrating. I even checked my mouse settings thinking something changed but it did not.

Hi All, same problem here. Month old new MacBook pro - started off with no issues, but in the last few days mouse suddenly acts like it's on a caffeine high - especially challenging in InDesign and Illustrator when trying to select objects or place cursor in text. Have tried turning mouse on and off, new batteries, rebooting, all the standard - to no avail. Hopefully there is a solution.

Question to the rest in this string - Is it only apple mice people are having this issue with?

I have the exact same issue, I'm using Illustrator CC 2015 1.0 release, 19.1.0

on iMac (El Capitan) with Magic Mouse. This jumpy cursor is making it impossible to work on Illustrator and add the missing right click and 'empty' brushes  drop down menu and I think I don't have actual value for my money. Grrr.

They just came out with an update. It was driving me crazy too! Double check to make sure you have the latest updates installed.

Same problem across Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat on the recently installed CC 2015 versions. Driving me nuts.

Ammar, helloola,

Maybe (too) far out, but what happens if you try disabling the GPU Performance by clicking the Rocket Icon in the App bar, or on the top of the menu bar, and deselecting the GPU Performance check box; you may also uncheck GPU Performance in your Preferences.

There are some issues with GPU, and Adobe are working on them. They should be solved with the 19.0.1 patch, but some are not.
