Curvature Tool Bug?

I'm using curvature to clean up some lines, but it goes haywire whenever I add/adjust new points — like the angles are constrained.

Am I overlooking something or is this a bug?

It might be related to the way the Curcature tool works. It has some functionality inside that tries to optimize the Curvature which might just not work very well when editing detail like in your case.

When was the last time you rebooted the computer?

Also: the Curvature tool might not be the right tool for this. Try and adjust the exsting points and handles. Adding even more points would be better using the pen tool. The Curvature tool will only add even more points automatically, which then makes it more difficult to adjust the lines.

I rebooted multiple times yesterday. Never had the issue in the past, so I'm wondering if it's my graphics card (NVIDIA GT 650M). I've gone back to using the pen tool, like you said — just didn't know if it was something on my end or AI's.

Appreciate the info.

Turn off the automatic snapping, especialyl when working at such tiny stuff. The glitches are simply the tangent handles trying to snap/ orinet themselves to the next anchor point.

Appreciate the feedback. I thought the same and already disabled snap to grid, pixel, point, etc. Also thought it could have something to do the adjacent point being so close to a corner, but it does it in the middle of lines as well.
