Decimal notation in pulldown menu's

Hi,

just noticed something strange in the pulldown menu of the new Properties panel. The values for thickness are marked with a dot for decimals, while all the other panels use a comma.

In the picture you can see the pull down showing values with ".xx pt" while the stroke has a thickness of ",xx pt" (obtained through the Strokes panel)

This causes the 0.5pt selection in the Properties menu to make strokes with a 5 pt thickness, and NOT 0.5 pt.

(When I select the thickness through the regular Strokes panel it says 0,5pt and ends up with 0,5pt thickness)

Is this a bug in the software, or something I can resolve with regional settings maybe?

No problems with a Netherlands version on a Netherlands System or an English System

Problems with an English version on a English System with a Netherlands Region.


Same with German region.

Tom,

I should have thought that it would be consistent (either dot/fullstop or comma throughout), but I believe it is worth trying to look at in the regional settings.

I believe we are talking Dutch version, but in that case I should have thought Ton would have noticed.

Hi Jacob,

I thought so too - would seem logic to use same thing in all menus.

And no, English language for both Creative Cloud and OS System. Only "Belgium" as regional setting.

I prefer not changing it because Excel doesn't like that had some trouble with formulas when I did.

I'll file a report and just use the Stroke panel for now.

Tom, I have the same problem.

English Language and "Netherlands" as regional setting.

The Stroke panel will give a 0,25 pt stroke when selected, but the Properties panel gives a 25 pt stroke when the 0.25 pt is selected,
