Decorate a shape

Hey Folks,

Can you help me how could I decorate this shape with those lines to follow the shape.

What could be the best option.

I have tried it with pattern, blending but I could not gone none of them. All of them was very bad.

How do I start?

Make sure strokes are outlined, then try Object > Envelope Distort > Make with Mesh.

It's not exactly trivially easy to make it with a mesh, but it's probably your best option:

This example has 4 columns and 1 row. It might be easier with five columns.

Hello Monika,

Thanks for your reply. In my previous message I attached an image. You can see a red tape, and you can see the starting of its decoration with the gray lines. But my problem is I can not make those lines follow the shape of the red tape.

I would like some suggestions.
