Delete black edges on illustrator vector

Hi,

I'm sorry if my question might sound a little stupid but I just begin on Illustrator..

I've download a vector image of sparkles and I'm trying to delete all the black background and edges to keep only the yellow sparkles.

Here is the image :

I've delete the main background but now some there are some edges that I can't delete all in one time.

Is there a way to delete the remaining black easily ?

    Here's a discussion of the issue on a very similar stock image Shutterstock images and 'transparent' backgrounds. HELP PLEASE

    The main idea is that those circles probably have a blend mode applied to give the glow effect. Try putting a background behind the art to let the blend mode have something to blend with.

    The easiest way to remove this is in Photoshop rather than Illustrator - Photoshop is better for raster alteration, and Illustrator better for vector alteration.

     

    When you open it in photoshop, use the 'Colour Range Selection' tool: 

    >Select (top menu) >Colour Range >Use eyedropper tool on the darkness >Use the 'Fuzziness' slider to select the amount you want to remove or alter (the localised colour clusters tick box will alter your selection slightly).

    However, it this is a vector, rather than a raster as it appears, you will be able to ungroup the layers in Illustrator, and then delete or hide what you do not want from the Layer menu.

    This is a vector image, and a common result of using gradients or blends with a transparency blend mode to produce glows over a background, as described in the posts above.

    It looks like a gradient that has been expanded into multiple rings.

    You could try using the Lasso selection tool to loop around sections of the gradient, avoiding selecting the sparkles, and then delete one section at a time.

    Another thing you could try would be to double-click on the artwork with the black Selection tool to go into isolation mode. You may need to double-click more than once to drill down. You'll probably be able to drill down enough so that you can select just the wand and sparkles. Then you could copy them, get out of isolation mode, paste them and delete the original artwork; or you could paste them into a new document.
