Delete fonts from Illustrator

I have a few fonts thats that just won't disappear in my font library on Illustrator. Every time I go to type it defaults to using these fonts which are then highlighted because they don't actually exist. I'm also sick of having to replace all of the fonts every time I open file, only to have that font keep coming up when I'm typing.

Anyone know how to permanently delete a font from Illustrator?

    I had the same issue, but when I copied all my font to library>fonts it fixed.

    Every font is a special case, and can be loaded at different levels app, OS, user. Some are mandatory by the OS some by the app, some you can remove,  and cannot be removed, need more information to be able to help.

    What OS? What font (please be exact with the full name)?

    Are you using the basic font manager your computer came with?

    they are obviously not off your computer which is why they are showig.

    what do you see in the font manager?
