Deleted text views correctly in Outline view but still shows in Preview?

I'm having an issue where when I delete some text from a text box it still appears in Preview and so looks like the text hasn't been removed. However when I look at it in Outline it shows as deleted.

Anyone had this issue before?

If you save the file, close it, reboot the computer: is the text still there?
