Deleting a layer

I imported a puppet from Graphic Mama and was wondering if I could edit it. I wanted to remove the glasses and change some colos.

I'm assuming that your reference to the "trash bin option" is here in the Layers panel. It is not available when the object is normally selected, nor, obviously, when the Layers panel is closed. As Mohammad suggested, press the Delete (backspace?) key.

Otherwise, the trash can (bin) is only available in the Layers panel when an object is highlighted (not selected) in the panel. the object can then be deleted by clicking on the trash icon or by dragging the item onto it.

Yes, thank you. That worked. I have a couple of other issues. When I use him in Character Animator and turn his head, the glasses re-appear and same for the hair color that I changed. I think I have to edit those seperately but I am unsure how. I also want to add a business suit jacket and change his eyebrows and mouth.

I think you have to dig down further into the layers. I think there are the turnarounds for the character within the file (different head poses) and you need to make what ever changes to all of the versions - so delete the glasses for the right and left side views, change the hair color for all head views, etc.
