Dell PN579X not working for illustrator

I have a Dell XPS 13 2-in-1, using Illustrator 2021. It works just fine in other programs, including photoshop, but I can't get it to work whatsoever in illustrator. My finger will work, but my pen doesn't register. Any tips?

Windows Ink is somewhere in your Windows settings. I'M a mac user, sorry.

So this Dell is a stylus for your touch sensitive computer?

Have you tried turning Windows Ink off or on if that changes anything?

That pen does not work at all or is it just not pressure sensitive?

There is a Wacom setting in the Illustrator preferences. Does turning that on or off change anything?

I apologize for the late reply. I am trying to use my stylus in illustrator, yes. My laptop is the XPS 2-in-1.  I did try to turn the Wacom setting on and off with no luck. I haven't tried to turn off the other setting, where do I find that?

The pen will drag the screen around and lets me select different tools, but nothing in the workspace. However, this is isolated to illustrator.
