Designing Signage In Scale

I am working at a sign company and am justing starting off in graphic design. I know my way around Illustrator pretty well but there's still a lot I don't know. I am needing to creating logos/ signage and put them into scale which will be transferred onto conceptual and architectural drawings for the company. How do I create these logos/ signs in scale such as an architects scale. Or is there another adobe program that is better for this?

All advice is welcomed!

There is no such thing. You have to do all the math by yourself. A few tools like the CADTolls plug-ins can help simplify some steps, but quite generally not a single Adobe tool specifically deals with CAD-like true-to-scale drafting. It's a manual process everywhere.

    Hi Jessi,

As mentioned by Mylenium and John Illustrator does not have this feature right now, but you may definitely raise a feature request here at our Adobe Illustrator Feedback form. This is the best way of communicating with the Engineering and Product Management teams regarding issues and suggestions so they can be implemented in future releases.

The de factor scale in Illustrator is 1:1, and there are no native features directly related to working in a different scale. As already mentioned, it is possible to work in other scales with some calculations and/or CAD-stylle plugins, but generally speaking, Illustrator is not a drafting app.
