Designs are being distorted when I try to shrink them.. How do I fix this?

This is happening with a few designs, i've provided a couple examples here: in this link

Someone else vector traced these images for me.

When I try to transform them to be smaller, it gets distorted.

How do I fix this?

You might need to check the Scale Strokes & Effects option on the Transform panel (Window > Transform).

Does that happen after Tracing the images ?

if yes, check the image trace options from window -> image trace
