Destructive Updates

Why.... Why... Do updates completely LOSE User Interface & Settings so often!!!??? I am so tired of rebuilding my open tools layout and Reinstalling plugins because Adobe can't manage to patch updates without them getting lost in the process. This is unacceptable for an industry standard platform!

    You can set up the Creative Cloud app to migrate your settings.

     

    But: sometimes the updates dig so deep into the app that the prefs must be reset.

     

    Apart from that: you can always Export your settings and then import them again via Edit > My settings. Or do it manually for selected settings. They are just text files.
