Question

Different colors, compound path or some other tool?

I first searched the forum and I didn't find what I needed. If there is some open discussion about my problem, I'm sorry.

I'm preparing svg files for a website that print stickers. All artworks are different colors and need to be only one path. The artwork need to remain the same and resizable, when I use ctrl+8 to create compound path everything is black.

I will ask if this is the solution: "You can create a compound path for each of the colors though. You would need to select all items of the same color and then make the compound path."

No. Don't just throw unrelated details at them.

Show them the artwork. Ask them exactly what kind of preparation they need. Ask them how they will do the multiple color thing. You will need to know.

You're probably doing this for the first time. Don't try to hide that aspect. They will notice anyway.

Thank you for your fast answer. This designs are not mine, I'm preparing files for a client.

You can se here in "wolf" there are groups, paths, compound paths and this all needs to be only one compound path.

First I grouped everything together end export as svg. The client explained to me when I do this this way he needs for every path a different foil.

You can't make this "one compound path" if you want to keep the colors.

You can create a compound path for each of the colors though. You would need to select all items of the same color and then make the compound path.

Depending on how this is currently built, it will need some kind of preparation.

Also you will need to ask the print shop if they will be stacking the foils in order to make the outline.

You should definitely talk directly to the print folks. Really.
