Dimension value from CAD-tool won't appear when placing dimension.

When placing a dimension (whether it be horizontal or vertical), I go by points but when I release the mouse to place the measurement the value doesn't appear, or glitches into view as I move the cursor only to disappear again. It's almost as if the program can't load the font correctly even though I'm using basic font. Anybody got any ideas?
