Disappearing Links Menu

I have been having an issue with the Links Pulldown Menu flashing on and off when selected via Window/Links. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Illustrator 30.6

I reset the preferences as described, this initially solved the issue but then it is back where the links panel comes on then disappears like before

I’m sorry to hear the problem persists. Would you mind trying the following steps and checking if they help:

- Close all Adobe applications.
- Rename the UXP folder to UXP.old from the following location:
(macOS) Navigate to Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/UXP
- Relaunch Illustrator

If the problem persists, kindly share more details, such as the exact versions of the OS/Illustrator, and a screen recording of the issue (https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/screen-record-an-issue-on-windows-amp-macos-for-sharing/td-p/12967727), so we can investigate further.

thanks, I did try renaming the UXP folder suggestion, still have the issue. I am running MacOS 26.5.2 and Illustrator 30.6. Not sure how to record the screen to show, but the Links panel comes on for a few seconds and then disappears and then comes back then disappears, etc. I’ve just turned that window off because it is annoying.

Hello Charbauer,

It’s annoying. The suggestion from Anubhav worked, but i will have to do over all my settings.

Reinstalling the saved preferences caused the same issue, but i left them installed as the juice ain’t worth the squeeze trying to fix one issue.

I’m sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind trying to reset Illustrator's preferences as described in this article (https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/troubleshoot-preference-issues.html) and checking if it helps?

Disclaimer: Please note that renaming preferences folders will remove all the custom settings, and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also save a backup of the folders in case you want to. The location is mentioned above.

If the problem persists, kindly share a brief screen recording of your workflow and the problem, so we can investigate further.
