Documents (e.g., 1.2 MB) take too long to open (6 minutes+)

Ever since the last two updates, documents in Illustrator take an exceedingly long time to open. I set a timer to see how long it took to open a 1.2 MB Illustrator document saved locally to my DropBox folder… I stopped counting at 6 minutes. I am at a loss for why this might be given the file size. Please fix.
