Does anyone know why my font is reverting to a different font when I try to edit the actual text?

This has happened in a few different files so it’s not file specific, but when I duplicate a text box with a font (for example ‘Mostera’) and try to edit the text, it reverts back to another font - example ‘Owners Medium’. It’s quite annoying and can’t seem to see why
I don’t have any character styles or paragraph styles set. And my default type tool is set to Myriad Pro so if anything it should revert to that shouldn’t it?
Ive uninstalled and re installed illutrator, ive reset preferences, I've tried 'Clear Overrides'

I cant seem to find the issue -> Video example attached

If anyone has any suggestions that would be stellar 🙂

It's January 3rd. Anyone know if this has been fixed? For the money we all pay for the subscription to Adobe, there should not be a "workaround" to have to rely on. This needs to be fixed ASAP. Besides this issue another is popping up with trying to update apps Animate, Bridge and Camera Raw. Updates are failing.

You could check out in Uservoice. THere is a report about this and there you can also see whether it has already been fixed in public beta. Apart from that: In which way does turning off Missing glyph protection impact your workflow?
