Drag and drop artboard to new file?

Did I read somewhere that you can drag and drop artboards to another file (Ai v29.2.1)? Or did I imagine that? If so, can someone point me to some instructions please?

If I was hallucinating and there's a feature request out there, I'll upvote it for sure!

To add to what Monika said; make sure to have enough empty space on the pasteboard to avoid overlapping artboards.

Otherwise it would be difficult to move the artboards without moving shared objects within artboards.

If you have tabbed your documents, drag the artboard (with the artboard tool) on the tab of the other document, wait until it's come to the fron and then drag into the canvas and drop it.
