Drawing Modes

Unlike other there is no arrow mark here to indicate that there is a drop down menu. Is there any specific reason for that?

There are more buttons in Illustrator that act like this, so it's not an exception.

Maybe because it is not a different tool, but a drawing mode.

You will see all these drawing modes together when you choose Window > Toolbars > Advanced,
