Drop down menu in Adobe Illustrator 2024 regularly quits

I recently purchased a new iMac as well as the latest Adobe suite - including Illustrator 2024. As I work on a project in Illustrator the drop down menu items cease to work after 10 minutes or so into the project. If I restart the program they again work - but only to have cease to work again and again, 10 minutes or so into use. Any thoughts on how to resolve? Thanks.

Thanks for reaching out. To address the issue you're encountering with the drop-down menu in Adobe Illustrator 2024, I recommend taking the following steps:

  1. Update Adobe Illustrator to version 28.2.
  2. Ensure your iMac is running macOS Sonoma version 14.3.1.
  3. If the problem persists after updating, try this workaround:
    • Go to Illustrator menu > Settings > General.
    • Click "OK" without changing any settings.
    • Check if the drop-down menu starts working again.
