Drop Shadow effect to Text

Hi All

Illustrator CC,

when I apply drop shadow to a text it works perfect, but when I copy that text to another document the drop shadow effect gets expand.

please help me to know the cause of this.

Hi Sajid,

Sorry to hear about this issue. I would request if you can share a few more details like:

Operating System(Exact version of Windows/MAC)
Exact version of Illustrator.
A few screenshots or a small video of the issue and workflow would be a great help.

Is that an old file?

Are you just saving or "saving as"?

Always save your old files with "Save as".

Hi Sajid,

Please show screen shots with the text frame selected with the Selection tool and with the Appearance panel open.

Because it’s changing, we’ll need one screen shot when you first create the drop shadow, and a second when there is a problem.

I will share the screenshot

I mean, when I re-open the document and try to edit the text the drop shadow does not apply to the edited text infect the shadow remain the same as earlier text as if I expanded the drop shadow.
