Drop Shadow rendering error

Hey,

I have a large world map image I'm creating for a booth. It's 4228mm x 1700mm. I extruded the world map using the 3D tool and that worked great. What hasn't worked great is the drop shadow I added. Illustrator has created these horizontal lines/tears across the whole drop shadow in several places. I attached a JPEG of it to show you. I have gone to the Drop Shadow and had Illustrator re-render it at a different setting and it's still there.

Anyone else experiencing this bug?

Yes, me too - it happens on large objects that are angled. If you take a 13"x13" square, add a drop shadow and angle it, the dropshadow looks good, but if you do it with a 14"x14" square you get the problem. For a work-around I was able to reduce my art in half and will have our sign maker double the size of the art on their side, but I'm pretty lucky I can do that on my job. It's 03-28-2023 and I've got fully upgraded programs.

I should add, my raster effects settings were at 300 dpi, changing the dpi does affect it but doesn't really solve the problem, ie. my 14x14 square will look good at a 150 dpi, but if I need it to be good at 300 dpi I can't reduce it to 7x7 with a 600 dpi raster setting or the problem is there.
