Question

DXF from Illustrator 28.6 don't open correctly in other applications

Hello,

I need to create a DXF file from a vector graphic. However, the result I get after exporting it is strange:

When I view it in Illustrator, it looks fine, but when I view it in a CAD program, it only shows the outline of the letters.

Hello @judith_5646,

Thanks for reaching out. Would you mind sharing some more details, like the exact version of the OS/Illustrator, a public link to a sample file after uploading it to Dropbox/Google Drive/etc., details of your workflow, a screen recording of the problem (https://adobe.ly/46KxUzQ), so we can better assist you?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

Hello @Anubhav M ,

Sure, I have uploaded the eps file here and the dcf file that I exported from Illustrator here.

I'm using Windows 11 Pro and Adobe CC Illustrator v28.6.

Regarding the Export options, I chose to export to AutoCAD version 2018.

Number of colors: True color

Raster File Format: jpg (tried png before too - same outcome)

and only checked "Preserve appearance".

Thank you!
