EAN-13 barcode font: what is the Illustrator equivalent of InDesign's World-Ready Paragraph Composer?

Hi,I'm using an EAN-13 barcode font.In InDesign, I know exactly what makes it work: Adobe World-Ready Paragraph Composer.The problem is Illustrator.If I copy a working EAN-13 barcode from InDesign into Illustrator, it works correctly.But if I create a new text object in Illustrator from scratch, enter the same EAN-13 digits, and apply the same font, it does not work.So there is clearly some text/composition setting being carried over from InDesign, but I cannot find the equivalent option in Illustrator.What is the Illustrator equivalent of InDesign's Adobe World-Ready Paragraph Composer?Where can I enable it, or what Illustrator text setting do I need to use so that a newly created text object behaves like the one pasted from InDesign?Thanks!

Hello ​@Tommaso25336665ap3vWould be great if you can share a snapshot of the difference you’re seeing in InDesign, and pasting vs typing in Illustrator. So that we’re able to investigate.Current version of Illustrator has the World Ready Composer, but it is not the default in most regions. You can try this:Launch Illustrator and go to Preferences / Settings > TypeEnable ‘Show Indic Options’In the document type the text using this fontSelect the text, and open Paragraph PanelFrom the flyout, enable Middle Eastern & South Asian Single or Every Line ComposerThe text should re-shape correctly.Text objects preserve their composers, so you’ll have to keep the text selected for the composer change to apply to it.If you try the Beta version, you’ll find this further simplified. All users now have access to the four composers. So, if the text does not shape correctly, just change the composer from Paragraph panel.Do share a snapshot of the problem you’re facing, and if the steps above solve it. Look forward to your feedback.

Illustrator has the Every Line composer, which is the same thing. You can check whether turning on the Middle eastern options in the Illustrator preferences and then selecting the Middle Easter every line composer changes anything.

Apart from that: have you already closely compared all the character and paragraph settings in the text object that works to the one that doesn’t? What is the difference?
