Question

edges look rough - contrasting colours

Hey, does anyone have any idea what causes Illustrator to show these small dotted white lines in my colours? It seems to be happening all the time now and I don't know if I've tampered with some setting somewhere. But everything looks really pixelated, even at normal viewing distance.

You can see the difference in the two screenshots. The blue one looks really bad.

Thanks for the help.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are facing. I would like to know if you are facing:

  • OS and version of Illustrator

  • Is the issue related to a specific document? If yes, could you please share the document with us? You can upload it to the Creative Cloud (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/share.html) and share the download link.

  • Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates, plugins, or web extensions installed recently.

  • Does turning off “GPU Performance” from Illustrator Preferences > Performance > uncheck GPU Performance helps to resolve the issue?

We are here to help. We just need more information.

Regards,

The black is 100K and it's a CMYK file?

In that case this is a common thing that is just caused by the way Illustrator renders 100K.

These are still vector objects? (i.e. you haven't rasterized anything?)

Can we see a sample file?
