Edit in Firefly Boards button does not work

Question

Gritting my teeth posting this since I don’t care for these tools in Illustrator, but I found this by accident lol.

Pretty simple to replicate, I am on on MacOS Tahoe 26.5.1, Illustrator 30.7

I can select any item, it doesn’t seem to matter, and when I right click “Edit in Firefly Boards” it tells me Connection Error. Please check your internet and try again later.

My internet is fine and the other AI/generative services are also working fine in testing them.

Well I was getting the same error this morning, had a live troubleshoot with no success. Reinstalled Creative Cloud since I do not have the InDesign 21.6 update yet, and now, somehow, Edit in Firefly Boards works correctly.

Perhaps it was that, maybe it’s due to me enabling my wifi network and internal ethernet at the same time, who knows.

Shoutout to the Illustrator team member Johnny who told me to connect to a mobile hotspot, which then caused my live troubleshooting session to disconnect. I reconnected and told him it didn’t work and he ghosted me for 45 minutes before closing my case Lmao.
