Hello! Need to use the Expand command for stroke weight in icon sets? Or is it better not to convert the contour to curves? Help me figure it out. Thanks

Are you talking about something you want to upload to Stock?

I think this is a case-by-case decision. Expanding strokes will ensure the appearance of your icons is maintained. Leaving strokes intact means the user can edit them more freely. Which do you want?

Stock vector artwork might be downloaded by people with different experience levels and may be used on different platforms. Some of them might be happy to have the ability to adjust the lineweight. Others are surprised by changing lineweights and totally overwhelmed by the complexity of their software. Some software might just display the wrong lineweight. So as always: it depends. I assume there are some lines in your artwork which need to be expanded for some reason or other? Or do you have the option to leave all strokes live?
