Embedding Pictures Preference

Hello,

I often have the problem, that a colleague insert a linked pic and if would like to oben the AI File, Illustrator isn´t able to find it. So, is there the possiblity to make a preference that every time I insert a pic, that the pic is Embedding and not a link?
