EPS file exported to PSD is tiny

Hi!

I bought an EPS file on a stock image site. I opened it in Illustrator (I'm new to it) and exported it as a PSD file.

When I opened it in Photoshop I was pleased to see that all the objects were in different layers but unfortunately the file is very small, some 200px wide, while I need at least 10 times more.

I scaled it in Illustrator and exported it again, but when recheking it in Photoshop nothing had changed. Can you please help me?

Thanks

Ah, right. Sorry for neglecting that aspect. Okay so when you export, you get a chance to set a resolution. What are you setting there? Whatever it is, doubling it should double the exported .psd image size (potential; that is, you'll get enough pixels to up-size). 3x, 4x, 5x, whatever you need.

If the EPS graphic is really all vector, you can rasterize it at any size you want. Try just opening it directly in Photoshop, which should present a dialog inviting you to choose and set a size, resolution, and color space.

Thank you John, but this won't preserve all the layers, though. Instead, I need all the objects to be separated.
