EPS file only opens the cover image and not the whole book

I have an EPS file of a small book. It is 135 MB. When I open it in Illustrator or Photoshop, it only opens the cover image, not the whole book. I then tried to convert it in Acrobat Distiller and it won’t convert. Any ideas? thank you!

Do you see a “Show Import Options” feature when opening or placing the EPS file? Under default settings only the first page of a multi page document will be brought into Illustrator.

Bobby, using Place I see a check box for Import Options but there is nothing to change or select.

can you perhaps change the file extension to .ps and try again with distiller?

Or try Acrobat (not Distiller)

If that does not work, there are other PostScript converters, such as GhostScript.

Which application did this file originate in? Can you get the source file?

Thank you for your response Monika. I tried changing it to .ps and it still only opens the cover photo. I tried it in Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat. I tried again in Distiller and it is still only distilling the first picture which is 11MB, not the 135 MB.

We are going to send it to a printer so hopefully they have a converter that will open it. The source file might be 15 years old but the original printer might still have it. Thank you for giving me other options!
