Error 224 on launch - Illustrator

I’m using Illustrator on 2 different computers: a personal computer, and a work computer. (I’m currently logged out of the personal computer). Illustrator works on my personal computer, but not my work computer. However, the other programs that I use - Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat - all work fine. And I had no trouble with Illustrator until today. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator, and that didn’t help. See the attached screenshot for the error message that I’m receiving. Thanks!

    Hi ​@jane-e: The blue link was extremely unhelpful. It brought me to a general help page - nothing at all specific to this problem, nor did it bring me to an actual link that connected to Customer Support. I had to do some digging, and then found this forum. I did try doing a search in the linked help page for code 224, and nothing came up - there were other codes that did, but not this one.

     

    However, I think we can table this for now, Jane and ​@Anubhav M - my employer added an Adobe subscription for me on my work computer, and that one works fine, all programs. I was able to log out of the Illustrator version that wasn’t working. It’s possible that our IT department added something to the computer that was making my personal Illustrator subscription incompatible, I don’t know.

    I’ve just migrated to a new Macbook Air and while all my other Adobe programs have loaded successfully, Illustrator is the one that's giving me an Error 224. I too have downloaded it a few times, but to no avail. Please help!

    I’m sorry to hear about your experience. Could you share more details, such as the exact versions of the OS/Illustrator installed, and whether this started happening after a recent update, so we can better assist you?
